Industrial sourcing · A complementary Indeavour offering

Industrial machinery from the best manufacturers. Factory-direct. Delivered to your line.

Beyond commodity trade, Indeavour leverages its Asia sourcing network to broker industrial machinery for African manufacturers. We work directly with the factories — not online marketplaces — and we put a representative on the ground in Guangzhou to inspect every project before it ships.

What we source

Three categories where we have real depth.

01
Food processing
From raw input to packaged product

Full production lines and standalone units for African food manufacturers — from oil refining and biscuit production to juice bottling and pasta extrusion. We source factory-direct with documented sanitary standards, voltage compatibility for your market, and HMI in English, French or Arabic.

Oil refining lines Biscuit production Juice & beverage bottling Pasta & noodle extrusion Flour milling Dairy & UHT Confectionery
02
Packaging machinery
Bottles, cans, cartons, films, sachets

PET preform and blowing lines, filling and capping machines, labelling and shrink-wrapping, secondary packaging and case-erectors. Built around your bottle format, throughput targets, and end-line palletizing. Halal-compatible food-grade specifications standard.

03
Agricultural equipment
From field to silo

Tractors, harvesters and threshing equipment; irrigation systems and pumps; grain handling, drying, and storage. Specified for African operating conditions — high temperatures, dusty fields, voltage tolerances, and local repair-ability.

How a project works

Six steps from specification to installation.

01

Specification call

We start with a 30-minute call to understand your throughput targets, footprint constraints, voltage, existing line integration, and budget bracket. No proposal moves forward without this.

02

Factory shortlist

Within 5-10 business days we return with a shortlist of 2-3 factories, each with technical datasheets, reference installations, and indicative pricing. You choose. We never present a single “take-it-or-leave-it” option.

03

Site visit (optional)

For projects above a meaningful threshold, we arrange your visit to Guangzhou — factory walk-through, FAT (factory acceptance test) of a representative unit, meeting with the engineering team. Visa support included.

04

Contract & manufacturing

We sign the contract with the factory on your behalf or in tri-party. Cash against documents standard. Manufacturing lead time is typically 45-90 days depending on complexity, with milestone updates from our Guangzhou representative.

05

Pre-shipment inspection

Before payment of the balance, we conduct PSI with third-party inspectors (SGS, Bureau Veritas, or Intertek depending on the project). Photos, video, and a written report cross-check the order against specs.

06

Shipment, install, after-sales

CFR delivery to your destination port. Optional installation engineer flight from China — typically 7-14 days on-site for commissioning and operator training. After-sales support and spare-parts pipeline for the warranty period.

Why Indeavour for industrial

Trading-house discipline. Engineering rigour.

01

Factory-direct sourcing

We work with manufacturers — not trading websites, not online marketplaces. Our Guangzhou representative maintains active relationships with a curated pool of factories across food-processing, packaging, and agricultural equipment. You get the manufacturer’s price, not a hidden-markup intermediary’s.

02

Pre-shipment inspection, always

Every project undergoes third-party PSI before the balance payment leaves your bank. SGS, Bureau Veritas, or Intertek depending on category. Photos and a written report cross-check the goods against the contract spec sheet you signed.

03

Representative on the ground

Our Guangzhou partner attends factory visits in person, sees the production line, and stays on the project from kick-off through pre-shipment. Issues get caught at the factory floor, not at your destination port.

04

After-sales pipeline

Machinery lives 5-10 years. We negotiate parts-and-service terms with the factory upfront — spare-parts kits, replacement-part lead times, remote troubleshooting access. You buy a relationship, not a transaction.

Tell us what you’re building. We’ll come back with options.

Industrial machinery is specified to your operation — not pulled from a catalog. The more we know upfront, the faster we shortlist factories.

Share what you can in the form opposite. If you have an existing line layout, brochure or PDF spec from another vendor, mention it — we’ll follow up by email to receive the file.

Quotations are returned in 5-10 business days for most categories, with 2-3 factory options to compare.

  • Specification review by our Guangzhou partner
  • Multiple factory options, datasheets included
  • CFR or DAP delivery quoted to your nearest port
  • No quote fee. No commitment. We work for the deal.

Questions

What serious buyers actually ask.

Are these factory-direct or brokered through an online marketplace?+
Factory-direct, every time. Our Guangzhou partner maintains relationships with the actual manufacturers, not their resellers. You receive the manufacturer’s technical datasheets, you can request a factory visit, you sign the contract with the manufacturer (with Indeavour either as principal or as a documented intermediary). No Alibaba arbitrage.
Can I visit the factory before paying?+
For projects above a meaningful threshold, yes — we strongly recommend it. We coordinate the visit (typically 2-3 days in Guangzhou), help with the Chinese visa, organize meetings with engineering teams, and arrange a factory acceptance test of a representative production unit. Most serious buyers do this before signing the order.
What about pre-shipment inspection?+
Mandatory on every project. Before the balance payment leaves your bank, third-party inspectors (SGS, Bureau Veritas, or Intertek) attend the factory, photograph the equipment, run a witnessed test where possible, and produce a written PSI report against the contract specification. You see the report before authorizing payment.
How does payment work?+
Cash against documents (CAD) via SWIFT is our standard. Letters of credit are accepted on larger projects when your bank supports them. Terms are negotiated per project and depend on order value, factory standard practice, and your banking relationship. We’ll walk you through it on the specification call.
What about installation and after-sales?+
For most projects we coordinate an installation engineer from the factory to fly to your site — typically 7-14 days of commissioning and operator training. Spare-parts pipelines and warranty terms (commonly 12 months) are negotiated upfront and written into the contract, not promised verbally. We stay on the project through commissioning, not just delivery.
How does industrial fit with the commodity side of Indeavour?+
Indeavour’s commodity trade (palm oil, coffee, spices, coconut from Indonesia → Africa) is our daily volume business. Industrial sourcing is a complementary offering for buyers who already trust us with their food-grade commodities and now want help equipping their factory. The two share the same operational backbone: PT PMA registration, banking discipline, Halal awareness where relevant, real ground presence in Asia.
